In 1985 a Broadway musical starred by Captain America was written by Mel Mandel and Norman Sachs. With a budget up to $4 million, the hero was not going to fight WWII nazis or Cold War communists, but his mid-life crisis. This ad appeared in the Marvel comic books that year looking for girls who would sing and dance with the Cap himself. The show was never premiered.
The more amusing thing is they actually made a reference in the movie to this.
I am definitely going to buy an NES sometime or get it on Wii VC. I miss this game.
Just a heads up for those who don’t know - there’s a Thanksgiving MST3K Turkey Day marathon happening right now for the 25th anniversary of the show.
Hosted by Joel, there’s gonna be a live stream of episodes all day! If you’re a fan or you’ve never watched the show, you should tune it!
